It is the most prominent academic center in the southwest of the country in the fields of education and psychology. Our mission is to recognize and identify various fields of science which can contribute to the advancement of education in our province and country. Developing knowledge of the psychological characteristics of the individual and the society is helpful to the educational system of the country, in general, and social institutions, in particular. Imparting this knowledge to the specialists in the field of education to help them function effectively is part of our job. The Behavioral Sciences Research Center of our Faculty is a leading research and consulting center in the fields of education, psychology, counseling and information science. Moreover, the Faculty hosts two top research centers of Continuing Education and Knowledge Management which are considered to be high ranking in the University and in Iran.
We currently have 6 departments of Education, Psychology, Counseling and Information Science and knowledge Information Science. These departments currently have 49 faculty members, and more than 1,700 students are studying in undergraduate and graduate programs.
Introduction
The library of Educational Sciences and Psychology was established concurrently with the foundation of the faculty of Educational Sciences and Psychology in 1972. Encompassing an area of 200 square meter, the library is located in the first floor of the faculty and has one study room. The classification system of the library is from A-Z based on the system of American Library of Congress. Right now, the library houses 42496 Persian and Latin books (31576 Persian sources and 10929 Latin sources). In addition, it also includes an archive of Persian magazines and an archive of documents like calendars, statistics, research portfolios, research indexes, and collections of research articles; the cataloging information of these documents are available on the library web application called Azarsa. It is worth mentioning that, students can access the electronic sources from the computer workstations available at the library. The library staff also respond to students' questions and help them with different issues like browsing the web application for the requested sources, and borrowing books and other sources according to the rules and regulations of the library. In case that the requested source is not available, they would provide the students with referral services and introduce other libraries and/or information centers. There are 18 desks and 54 chairs available at the study room of the library for individuals and groups to use.

Psychology Laboratory of Dr. Hossein Shokrkon
Introduction
The Psychology Laboratory was established in 1977 by Dr. Hossein Shokrkon, one of the faculty members of the Department of Psychology, and in 2017, to honor his scientific services, the lab was entitled in his name. The lab is located in the northern corner of the Faculty of Educational Sciences and Psychology on the first floor. A wide range of educational and research activities are conducted in this lab.
Facilities
The lab includes a number of facilities serving the purposes of theoretical and applied research in psychological and cognitive science fields. The devices include:
Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (tDCS): tDCS is a non-aggressive strategy in which a number of weak electrical currents are used on the skin of the head to stimulate the brain activities. The tDCS technique is now one of the procedures which is used in neuroscience research studies and for the purpose of evaluation and treatment of different disorders. Of the most important advantages of tDCS, one can refer to its low price, feasibility, non-aggressiveness, and being pain-free.
Neurofeedback: Neurofeedback means to train the brain using the brain itself. In other words, through the feedback that the brain receives from the body and environment, it starts regulating and controlling different psychomotor behaviors and interactions with the environment. In this sense, the neurofeedback device helps the brain regulate its activities and functions properly by providing information about the brain waves.
Quantitative Electro-Encephalography (qEEG): qEEG is in fact a diagnostic tool which through the electro-encephalography (EEG), it measures the amount of electric functions in different parts of the brain. The brain's function can be measured using the qEEG. It can determine where in the brain the electric functions are unstable, so can discover the strengths and weaknesses as well as the brain disorders.
Event-Related Potential (ERP): ERPs are small electric potentials which are produced as a response to specific events or stimulators in the brain. These potentials are in fact EGG fluctuations as a function of sensory, motor or cognitive events. As such, ERPs provide the opportunity to study the non-aggressive and safe Psychophysiological correlations of mental processes. ERPs then, can be stimulate via a wide range of sensory, motor and cognitive events.
Eye-tracking: This is the process of measuring the point of gaze (where one is looking), or the motion of an eye relative to the head. An eye-tracker is a device for measuring eye positions, eye movement and pupil dilation. Eye tracking is used in different fields of study and practice, like, Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Games, Human Factors, Neurology, Psychiatry, Sports Sciences, Clinical Psychology, usability in Ergonomics, Computer-human Interaction, Autism, Neurological Disorders, and Neuro Sciences.

Administration of Library Workshops goes back to 1981 when the Faculty of Educational Sciences was first located in an old building at the Faculty of Engineering (the present faculty of Veterinary Medicine). At that time, the faculty houses only one computer center which was directed under the supervision of Dr. Diani. In addition to the professors, B.A. and M.A. students of Library Studies also commonly used this center for their practical assignments, like word processing. Later, when the faculty moved to the present location, the Library Workshop was formally established. Initially, there were only a few number of computers for the purpose of students' practical assignments, but later, more facilities were added.
The primary purpose of establishing a Library Workshop was to provide the students of Library Studies of different degrees with the chance to improve computer skills. Functionally, this workshop is at the service of training and education. Therefore, all the facilities available at the workshop are devised to meet the educational objectives of practical courses. On top of that, the following peripheral objectives are meant to be achieved:
- Helping students of Library Studies access the databases and educational CDs, either in the workshop or borrowing
- Providing the opportunity to administer educational courses related to Library Studies, using the available facilities
- Helping students doing their practical assignments like, word processing, organization, knowing different data banks, applied programming, etc.
- Helping students increase their computer and information science literacy as an outlook to future job opportunities in libraries and information centers.
Presently, the Library Workshop provides services using 15 active computers and 15 Internet lines. It is worth mentioning that, the number of computers connecting to network can possibly increase to six and for that, all the required grounds are presumed.
Some of the computers in the workshop are equipped with sound card, speakers, and specialized software, for students' special uses and educational purposes.
Other facilities in the workshop include, a laser printer, one scanner, a pack of 50 educational and specialized CDs.

Shahid Rahim Bosaghzadeh's Workshop
Educational technology workshop is established and equipped for students of different degrees at the faculty of educational sciences in order to accomplish different projects and practices related to education and training. This workshop is in fact a part of the Educational Technology Center which used to provide educational and internship services to students of different disciplines for many years. The Educational Technology Center of the Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz was established in 1975 for the primary purpose of administering a CCTV educational network and enhancing the efficiency of using educational materials and equipment. After the cultural revolution, the center experienced some changes. The Educational Technology department moved to the faculty of Educational Sciences and Psychology and the Technology Center started providing independent services to other faculties.
Today, B.A. students of Educational Technology, and Primary and Preschool Education studies use the facilities of the workshop for the purpose of their practical assignments. Specifically, courses of Materials Development, Teaching Art, Teaching Photography, Imaging, Materials Design, and other practical courses are presented in this workshop. In addition, M.A. courses like, Smartization of Educational Organizations, Curriculum Development of Online Education, Information Technology and Communication in Curriculum Development, New Technologies in Education, and Human Resources Development are taught in this workshop. Different workshops and extracurricular programs are held in this center.
During the recent years, the workshop is equipped with a camera, data projector, smart board, microphone, Speaker, and other facilities for video conferencing, and as such is a suitable place for PhD students' defend sessions from different departments of the faculty of Educational Sciences and Psychology. In fact, many defend sessions welcoming foreign reviewers and guests have so far been held in this workshop. It is worth noting that there are other facilities like video recorder, camera, data projector and smart board, scanner and printer, visualizer and 17 computers connected to the Internet in this workshop.
