Department of Pathobiology is one of the old history academic assemblies in our faculty, and in fact this department is the interval stage for veterinary students between basic sciences and clinical sciences.
The Department of Pathobiology provides education and conducts research in the fields of bacteriology, immunology, parasitology, pathology and virology.
The department has three sections: Pathology, Microbiology and Parasitology.
The Department of Pathobiology is involvedin the teaching of students of the faculty of Veterinary Medicine. The department is also responsible for postgraduate education.
Graduate Courses: Master of Science of Veterinary Parasitology and Ph.D. of Veterinary Parasitology, Veterinary Bacteriology, and Veterinary Pathology.
Division of Parasitology: This division has a significant relationship with other departments inscientific affairs.
The parasitology division is actively involved for parasites detection in vital samples sent from other departments, in particular the veterinary hospital, as well as samples from various centers, such as veterinary organization and the Natural Resources and Environment Directorate.

Division of Microbiology:
This is divided into several sections such as bacteriology, virology, immunology and mycology. This division has a significant relationship with the educational and research affairs of other departments and faculties, as well as service for microbial diagnosis in vital samples.
