Centers of excellence, as the driving force behind the development of countries, are built to grant any scientific discipline a privilege.

Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz, the largest university in the southwest of Iran, is a specific center that has adapted the policy to lead the scientific development of the region. Counting on the faculty members to take the lead, the university is oriented towards specifying knowledge, in any specific field, in the framework of centers of excellence. This way, the university tries to encourage the development of the existing science.

Discourse analysis in the field of humanities, warm water fish hygiene and sicknesses in veterinary field, computational chemistry nanostructures in the field of science, cognitive behavioral studies in the field of psychology and education, psychology of labor in the field of psychology and education, land-led pollutants in the field of earth sciences, dust storm hazards' management in the field of agriculture, drilling technology in the field of engineering, and irrigation and drainage network management in the field of water sciences engineering.
