In 1979, Department of Sport Management was launched. This Department includes two divisions in master's degree (strategic management, leisure time management; active students = 41) and a program in Sports Management at the PhD level; active students = 16). The Department focuses on research topics such as the management of sports organizations - performance Evaluation and productivity, sporting events, sport marketing, managing sport facilities, and the sports economic. Currently, faculty members in this division are 1 full Professor and 2 Assistant Professors and 3 Instructors.

This department includes two tendencies (master of strategic management- master of leisure management) and a PhD program. Currently, Dr. Seyed hossein Marashian is the director of the department.
