DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING

 

The Electrical Engineering Department of Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz the largest Electrical Engineering group in the southwest of the country has been established in the 1980s. During these years, the group has been the source of valuable services in the field of education and research and covered an important part of the technical needs of various industries in Khuzestan Province and neighboring provinces.

The Electrical Engineering Department now has two undergraduate degrees on power engineering (since 1983) and electronic engineering (since 2000), six careers on master degree of electronics (integrated circuit electronics, micro, and nanoelectronic devices, since 2008), power (system, machine, and drive, since 1998), telecommunications and control (since 2012), and four Ph.D.'s on electronics (since 2012), power (since 2008), telecommunications (since 2017), and control engineering (since 2018).

The number of active faculty members in the Electrical Engineering Department is currently 23, consisting of 4 full professors, 6 associate professors, 10 assistant professors and 3 lecturers. Currently, there are about 150 master students and 60 Ph.D. students studying in this department. So far, thousands of students have been graduated in BSc. form this department, hundreds in master and dozens in Ph.D.
